The results of the SSC and equivalent examinations for 2026 will be published on August 10, ending weeks of uncertainty for students and their families across Bangladesh.
Professor Syed Akhtaruzzaman, President of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, confirmed that the SSC Result 2026 will be officially announced at 10:00 a.m. on the scheduled date. He shared the information at around 2:30 p.m. on Monday (July 27).
The announcement confirms the official publication date after several weeks of discussion about when the results would be released. Students and guardians had been waiting for a final decision as different possible dates were reported.
Earlier, Education Minister A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon said there were plans to publish the SSC examination results by July 20. However, the results were not released within that timeframe. As the delay continued, concerns grew among candidates and guardians, and various rumours began to circulate.
Later, the Education Minister said the ministry was reviewing whether the results could be published within the current month. Education boards were also instructed to keep the results ready by July 28. Ministry sources later suggested that July 30 could become the publication date. They also said the announcement might move to August because of various programmes related to the mass uprising.
This year’s written SSC and equivalent examinations ended on May 20. Under the usual practice, public examination results are published within 60 days after the written examinations finish. That timeline could not be followed this year.
The SSC and equivalent examinations began on April 21. A total of 1,857,344 students registered for the examinations. Among them, 1,418,398 students appeared under the country’s nine general education boards. The Madrasah Education Board had 304,286 Dakhil candidates, while the Technical Education Board had 134,660 candidates.
The number of expulsion incidents during this year’s examinations was significantly lower than in the previous year, according to the available information.
With the results now scheduled for August 10, candidates and guardians can expect the official announcement at 10:00 a.m., bringing the wait for the SSC Result 2026 to an end.
